-Sitton Spelling: I really liked the idea of Sitton Spelling. I saw a few different versions of this as I did my time in the schools. I believe this would be effective only if it was adopted district wide. This is a form of writing that needs to be followed through starting in Kindergarten. If not all the teachers use this form of spelling the children will not receive all they need to out of the program.
-Writing Process Mini-Lessons: This group reminded me of being alot like our group. This was a more in-depth lesson than ours. This requries many different phases of writing.
-Kidwriting: I though kidwriting was also a great idea. I believe it would be very effective in the younger grades. I like how the students write their own sentences and then go back and draw a picture about their sentence. This not only allows them to discover on their own but then use their picture to help tell the story.
-Interactive Writing: I like that this helps students to get their thoughts on paper. It helps them to develop strategies and make conncections between words and how words work. It helps to improve students writing with the teacher correcting them and facilitating the discussions about the student's work.
